    What was the cost?

  • GregMS

    @Cymor
    Good question.
    Case was $229+$60 or so for the Power Supply
    The 1TB drive was around $110.
    Each pcHDTV card was around $110, so $240.
    Motherboard and processor were probably $140.

    I have more exact numbers at home. I may post that at some point. I think when I first built it, I was somewhere between $600 and $800. I’ve slowly changed things and will be upgrading to 4GB of Memory the next time I find a reason to open up my case.

    But honestly the largest cost was the case itself. I only needed that large of a case because it was my backend server as well as my frontend. In the future, I would like to have a much smaller frontend below my TV and a larger backend hidden from sight.
